Getting security from a wood fence. |
|
The best thing about getting a wood fence is you
have many options to choose from. The 6' foot dog ear fence gives
you privacy along with security. Knowing that no one can see in your
yard prevents them from even thinking about going in it. This is
great for you and bad for them. You have a wall of fear to them as
they don't know what's on the other side waiting for them. Having a
privacy wood fence is a great investment. |

Wood is
100% treated when we install it. Making your fence look great for years to come
after we install it, while the sun dries out the wood and rain soaks into the
wood you will start to see cracks, that is because wood expands and shrinks. To
protect your
Residential fence is like protecting your
skin. You must use a treatment on it.
Every 3 to 4 years you must treat your fence. The first time you treat your
fence we recommend you go heavy with your fence treatment by putting a wood
fence stain on it, giving you at least an
extra 2 years. After that you should be good for 5 years.
Residential wood fences can and will warp,
fade, crack, and lean. This is do to weather not the
Fence Contractor.
Mother nature has a lot to do with these things happening. Remember your fence
stays outside 24-7. 365 days a year in heat, snow , rain, cold, wind and even
wet areas.
Residential fences are good to have but
come with a great responsibility. |

Building wood fence before you start. |
|
Before building
Wood Fence
of any type, Make sure you check with your city and
neighborhood codes or a contractor that is familiar with the local
codes in your state and area. If you live in the city limits, most
city codes have specific guidelines regulating how far from the road
or property line the fence should be which is typically 10 feet from
the road surface to allow a right away for any future piping or
sidewalks or city maintenance.. Some neighborhood codes prohibit
fences being built in the front of the home. Some also may regulate
the type of fence that can be built in the backyard.
Some areas like tree lines
or buffers is the area of right of way for the city to come through if
need be. Wood fences can and will be taken down by the city if you are
in the right of way. Although wood fences can be placed in the right of
way only if you agree to move the wood fence so work can be done by the
city. This you must agree to in order to have any wood fences installed.
If you have a plot plan of your property it would be in your best
interest to have the fence contractor look at it. This way if there is a
buffer zone he can show you.

perfect landscaping fence design. |

Wood Fence
that are built for
landscaping design
are typically
split-rail
fences and
picket
fences.
Split-rail
fences are
primitive and rustic. They are built from long, narrow pieces of
rough-cut timber or small logs that have been split in half. The
timber is stacked in layers, arranged in a zigzag pattern. Picket
fences are the inspiration of English gardens and are often
associated with cottage-style houses.
Picket fences
are built by driving wooden stakes or "pickets"
into the ground.
Picket fences are generally not higher
than 4 feet tall. If you want to build a
Wood Fence for
privacy and security, a
privacy
fence is what you need. Often found
surrounding the perimeter of the backyard, privacy
fences are constructed out of durable wood, such as
pine, cypress, cedar or oak. The wooden boards are
fitted together to form a visual barrier between you and
your neighbor. Privacy fences can range in height from 5
feet to 6 feet tall on the average. |

post as the gate will carry more weight by swinging open and shut
